The work emerged in a fluid transition from the previous series 'Constructed Nature.' While I was primarily interested in individual objects and their visual detachment there, in order to make them representative objects for forests and natural spaces as projection surfaces, I was particularly interested here in our self-understanding in dealing with and shaping these spaces. Forests are (in Germany) very rarely natural spaces anymore; they are primarily cultural landscapes that are actively managed and shaped. I wanted to integrate this principle into my work on a smaller scale as well. The additional layer of digital image processing is integrated to create a deliberate blurriness. Where do the processes begin with the real object, and where do they end in the digital image manipulation? The boundaries blur, and so does the understanding of the process for the viewer.
